Structural Steel

We are proud to have been involved as structural steel sub contractors in many of
landmark buildings. The new Gisborne Police Station, Fire Station, Gisborne District Court House, Showgrounds event centre, Briscoes, GGHS gymnasium, Logans Print, Illminster Gymnasium, GBHS Library to name only a few.

We have a reputation for producing high quality work, completed both on time and within the quoted price.
We have completed extensive earthquake strengthening projects on Historical buildings
in the CBD including TeRau Press, Adair's, Robertson's, St Andrews Church and Farmers.

We enjoy a good working relationship with CR Taylor the cities Crane Company
and together we erect our structures safely and efficiently.

Once awarded a project the detailing process begins. Each individual component
is broken down and detailed drawings created. We use the very latest Prosteel CAD system

which allows us to build a 3D model of the structure. We then use the model to check

all aspects of the build, to ensure the structure fits together onsite.

These drawings are then passed to the workshop for the start of the fabrication process.

Using steel sourced from local steel merchants it is cut, drilled welded into transportable

components and sent to Gisborne Abrasive Blast for its protective coating application. Once this process is complete we then transport the steelwork to the site for erection.

Our experienced workforce works together as a team to erect the building framework.
Advance planning with CR Taylor ensures we have a strategy in place for the site and
the number of crane lifts required for the job. With everyone involved knowing their tasks
a smooth installation is achieved.
